Visitors to KG: Thank you to Stina Haldorsen and Tom Sullam who came to KGon Wednesday to share their photographs and paintings with us and what inspired their interests. We looked at line, shape, colour, pattern and perspective of buildings and human shapes.
On Friday, members of the IST Secondary Volleyball team came to share their thoughts on expressing themselves physically. We learned it takes a great deal of cooperation, communication and perseverance to be a team member.
Also, a local Hip Hop Dance Duo thrilled us with their moves just before home time Friday!
Thank you to all our visitors who took time out of their schedules to share and inspire us.
KG Field Trip to the Secondary School – as part of our How We Express Ourselves unit, KG students visited the Secondary School to learn how they express themselves. We had a fabulous time exploring several workshops focused on music, drama, creative movement, pottery, dance, and more!
A big THANK YOU to all the students who expertly ran the workshops and their teachers who helped organize and gave their time for a great day!
KGW continued expressing themselves by creating pictures with magazines in the style of Charlie and Lola books and Eric Carle. We made pictures stories using symbols and we became inventors using recycled material.
